Course Contents

The course content will remain the same for both Initial and Recurrent. The content will
be based on the task and sub-task for the given function as per the table given in this
section.

In general the content will be

  • Basics of dangerous goods, Regulation for transporting dangerous goods by air and Indian Legal regime, shipper’s and operator’s responsibilities with respect to transport of dangerous goods and training requirements.
  • Basic Idea about the Different hazard classes of dangerous goods and proper shipping name and UN number, Marking and labeling on DG packages, Shipper’s declaration for DG etc
  • Hidden dangerous goods that are likely to entewhen accepting general cargo
  • Documentation requirement
  • Recognize hidden dangerous goods when accepting general cargo
  • Emergency response procedures; reporting of dangerous goods incidents and accidents
  • Provisions for passengers and crew

  • Passing percentage set at 80%.
  • Marks will not be disclosed.
  • No provision for re-evaluation.
  • Results announced after 7 working days.
