Course Contents

IATA’s DGR will be used as reference material for the course. Additional reading material will be provided by DGM as course hand-outs.
  • Introduction to the Dangerous Goods and fundamental principle for its safe transportation by air
  • National and International regulation governing the transport of dangerous goods by air
  • Applicability of the Regulation, shipper’s and operator’s responsibilities with respect to transport of dangerous goods and training requirements.
  • Identification and classification of dangerous goods and definition of each class of dangerous goods.
  • Packaging requirements, different types of packages, specification for UN tested packages, performance tests, identification of UN tested packages, inner packaging requirements and their quantity limitations
  • Marking and labeling requirements
  • Accepting passenger and crew baggage
The course content therefore draws upon from the structure of the IATA DGR Manual
and will consist of the following topics: -

  • Passing percentage set at 80%.
  • Marks will not be disclosed.
  • No provision for re-evaluation.
