Course Contents

IATA’s DGR will be used as reference material for the course. Additional reading material will be provided by DGM as course hand-outs.

The course content therefore draws upon from the structure of the IATA DGR Manual and will consist of the following topics:-

  • Introduction to the Dangerous Goods and fundamental principle for its safe transportation by air
  • National and International regulation governing the transport of dangerous goods by air
  • Comprehend and apply the separation and segregation requirements in respect of storage and loading of different dangerous abroad the aircraft.
  • Recognise the necessity of providing the pilot-in-command with the necessary details about the hazardous cargo loaded onboard the aircraft.
  • Apply relevant emergency procedures when a damaged/leaking package is discovered or any dangerous goods related incident happens.

Course Guidelines and Protocol

  • Passing percentage set at 80%.
  • Marks will not be disclosed.
  • No provision for re-evaluation.
  • Results announced after 7 working days.
